The Grinnell Pioneers won a pair of games in exciting fashion this past weekend. On Friday night, the Pioneers squeaked out a 1 point victory over Lawrence University. Friday's game saw the return of junior guard Scott Kaitz, who had been sidelined for several weeks with a broken hand. Dylan Seelman scored 21 points and Matt Skelly added 20. On Saturday afternoon Matt Chalupa made a 16 foot jump shot as time expired to give the Pioneers a 101-99 win over Carroll University. For his incredible performance on the weekend, sophomore guard Matt Skelly was named the Midwest Conference Player of the Week.
